Use Your IRA to Support Your Favorite Nonprofits

Required Minimum Distribution Options. Using your IRA to support your favorite nonprofits

Thursday, November 21 3:15 p.m.– 3:45 p.m. (following Popcorn & a Movie)

Porter County Community Foundation 1401 Calumet Ave., Valparaiso

RSVP preferred by Tuesday, November 19 to Janelle at janelle@pccf.gives or 219-465-0294.

Contributing to a nonprofit from your IRA (IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution) is an easy way to reduce your tax burden and make a significant gift to support causes you care about. William Maar of Thrivent Financial will talk about how you can designate some or all of the annual required IRA Distribution to charity and reduce the tax liability. This money can be earmarked to specific nonprofit agencies that support your passions. By transferring money directly from your IRA to a charity, you don’t have to claim it as income and you get to put it to good use.

*Attendees will have a chance to enter a drawing for a Valpo Chamber gift certificate!
