R. James and Rosemary Risk Scholarship Fund
R. James (Jim) and Rosemary (DeWood) Risk devoted their lives to two things…their family and education. Jim spent over 50 years in education serving for 20 years as Superintendent of Valparaiso Community Schools and co-founding the Alternative High School (now the Valparaiso Alternative Learning Experience).
Rosemary spent many years as an elementary school teacher as well as both an art and music teacher.
They were both passionate about doing what is best for the students and believed everyone deserves an opportunity to receive a good education.
This scholarship fund will provide scholarships to graduating Valparaiso High School students planning to further their education by attending a college, university or occupational training with preference given to students with financial need.
