Make a gift to the Community Fund

When you love where you live incredible things happen. . . Seniors enjoy enrichment activities keeping them active, healthy and connected. Food is provided to our hungry neighbors. Compassionate care is given to the sick and injured. Our furry friends find forever homes. And quality early education programs are provided to our youngest citizens.

Your generosity can help build a better community for all of us by creating hope, opportunity, a sense of purpose and real change. . . All because you love where you live.

What is the Community Fund?

The Porter County Community Foundation is home to the Porter County Community Fund. To respond to the community’s changing opportunities and challenges over time, this unrestricted endowment fund pools the generosity of people from throughout our county to create a powerful gift for our community that keeps on giving. . . forever.

How does it work?

The flexibility of the Community Fund enables organizations to apply for grants that support the widest array of programs. A volunteer Grant Committee evaluates proposals twice each year and awards grants to organizations that serve Porter County. These grants provide shelter for the homeless, foster creativity through arts programs, protect and restore nature and develop the potential in children.
